Do you have a flair for storytelling? Love the charm of old-time radio? Community Theatre of Howell invites you to audition for the next WCTH Radio Hour, bringing the magic of the Golden Age of Radio to life with two captivating episodes:

The Whistler – “The Strange Sisters”
From the eerie world of The Whistler comes a suspenseful tale of secrets and suspicion. In “The Strange Sisters,” two devoted siblings share more than just a home—they share a dangerous secret. When an outsider begins asking questions, loyalty is tested, tensions rise, and The Whistler reminds us that nothing stays buried forever.

A Date With Judy – “Aunt Lily Needs a Date”
In this delightful episode of A Date with Judy, Judy takes it upon herself to solve Aunt Lily’s lonely-heart dilemma. But as her matchmaking efforts spiral into confusion and comic mishaps, Judy learns that love—and family—rarely go according to plan. A sweet, fast-paced comedy full of classic radio charm.

Performance Dates

Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM (CTH stage)

Roles Available

We are seeking:

  • 5–8 Voice Actors

  • 1–2 Foley Artists (live and recorded sound effects)

Voice Actor Requirements:

  • Ages 13+

  • Able to read fluently and perform multiple roles

  • Strong timing and pacing while reading aloud

  • Scripts in hand—no memorization required

  • Be ready to showcase any accents or unique voices at auditions

  • Scripts are not provided in advance

Foley Artist Requirements:

  • Comfortable creating live sound effects or using recorded sound effects and music to enhance the performance atmosphere

Rehearsal Schedule

  • Low-commitment roles – meet once per week until show week

  • Rehearsals: Every Thursday

  • Required dress rehearsal: Saturday, April 25, 2026

  • You do not have to be a CTH member to audition, but all cast members must become members upon selection
