Community Theatre of Howell is proud to announce our upcoming CTH Theatre Academy, which will provide workshops geared toward young actors in early elementary, late elementary, and middle school. Students will sign up for a six-week session. We will have three sessions available, each a repeat of the same classes: October 3 - November 7, January 16 - February 20, and May 1 - June 5. The expected activity times and session registration costs for the different age groups are listed below. Registration for the first session will open on September 3.
Activity Breakdown
9:00-10:00 am — K-2 Class (60 min)
10:00-10:15 am — Break / Pick-up & Drop-off
10:15-11:30 am — 3-5 Class (75 min)
11:30-11:45 am — Break / Pick-up & Drop-off
11:45-1:15 pm — 6-8 Class (90 min)

Early Elementary: $150
Later Elementary: $160

Meet the Staff
Hannah Thomas — Director
Hannah's journey with the Community Theatre of Howell began more than 20 years ago. Throughout that time, she has performed in and served as vocal director for numerous CTH productions while training in dance, music, vocal performance, and musical theatre at institutions including The Joffrey Ballet in Chicago and the Ruhala Performing Arts Center in East Lansing. As a former elementary teacher with Howell Public Schools, she is passionate about combining her love of education and the performing arts to inspire the next generation of performers. She is thrilled to come full circle as Director of the CTH Theatre Academy to help young artists discover the confidence, creativity, and lifelong joy that theatre provides.
Ethan Hibbard — Assistant Director
Ethan is so excited to reconnect with his theater roots and join the Community Theatre of Howell team. Following his undergrad studies in Theater and Drama and Theater for the Young, he has worked with children and families healing from the trauma of child abuse and neglect through Children's Advocacy Centers across Michigan. He looks forward to helping students learn, grow, create, and most importantly, play!
