What Are Community Theatre Of Howell Summer Camps? 

Community Theatre of Howell summer camps have been the highlight of summer for thousands of area kids. Kids will learn not only skills that will help them succeed in the theater, but skills that will help them succeed at life. Learn stage presence, vocals, improv, tech and more, while gaining expertise in teamwork, public speaking, confidence and making friends for a lifetime. Elementary Camps

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for camp so far. Both Elementary Camp and Middle School Musical Theatre are full.



Attention Teens! Our Elementary Camp Producer is looking for Teen Leaders to assist with day camp. Would you like to help with vocals? Choreography or directing? This is a great opportunity for our teens to step into a leadership role in theatre. Complete the form on the registration page and TJ will be in touch with you.

The CTH camp will be the best part of your summer! Campers will spend two weeks  learning all aspects of theatre in an intense, yet fun and creative environment. Every registered camper must audition, and each is guaranteed a part.  Campers will perform the show exhibiting their new skills  on the morning of Saturday, July 22nd. 

There are two elementary camps offered, and both are for entering first grade through entering 5th grade in the fallAll elementary acting campers must attend the audition. Every registered camper will need to be there for auditions and will be guaranteed a part. Registration is limited to 40 campers each session.

Middle School Camp

This particular camp is for middle school age only.  Those entering sixth grade through entering eighth grade in the Fall.

Middle schoolers will have the time of their lives at this camp with two tracks to choose from: Musical Theatre or Acting. Campers will learn aggressively while having a blast and making  friends for a lifetime. Musical Theatre students will learn all aspects of what it takes to succeed with  emphasis on vocals and performing.  Acting students will have a strong focus on character development  and stage presence. All campers will have an opportunity  to go to workshops on improv, auditioning, stage combat, and make-up (including wounds and  zombies!). The camp will culminate with an unbelievable Showcase Mash-up. Registration is limited to 15 for Musical Theatre and 15 for Acting.

High School Camp

In our High School camp, 'All the World's A Stage', the campers will receive more in-depth acting training and the opportunity to create their own show. Throughout the two weeks, they will work on scene study, improv, monologues, and audition techniques. They will also be able to develop a workshop performance that will be performed at the end of camp. With our theme 'All the World's a Stage’, from Shakespeare's As You Like It, campers will collaborate and select what scenes, songs, dances, and improv skits they would like to perform and match well with our theme. There will be a mandatory camper meeting June 26, 7:00pm at the Howell High School Freshman campus to discuss what each camper is interested in working on at camp and wanting to perform in our workshop performance. Registration for the High School Camp is limited to 15 campers.
