Synopsis: Lionel Bart's lively musical based upon Charles Dicken's Oliver Twist finds Oliver's innocent request “Please sir, I want some more”, referring to 'Food Glorious Food,' lands him in trouble with the workhouse Matron and the Beadle and sets him on his famous adventure. He is sold to a local undertaker, but runs away and is picked up by the Artful Dodger who invites Oliver to ‘Consider Yourself At Home!’ with a gang of theives run by the synister Fagin. The gang sets out to ‘Pick A Pocket or two’ and invites Oliver to come along. However, Oliver is arrested in the attempt and is brought before the magistrate. Mr. Brownlow, the victim of Fagan's gang, discovers Oliver was an innocent bystander, and chooses to take Oliver in. Fagin’s chief thief, Bill Sykes is afraid Oliver will give away their set-up and sends his girlfriend , Nancy to get Oliver back. Eventually Oliver is restored to Mr Brownlow, who turns out happens to be his Grandfather.
